Every May, as I sit down to write Homeward Bound, I find myself reflecting deeply on the meaning of Mother’s Day. I’m continually in awe of the profound commitment that motherhood requires — and eternally grateful for how my own mother has shaped the woman I’ve become. 💖
Even on my worst days, she somehow manages to lift my spirits. With her keen observations, unshakable presence, and infectious sense of humor 😄, she’s been my trusted confidant and the silver lining on many cloudy days. 🌤️
Time has shown me that almost every caring mother is also a wise woman. 👩🦳 It’s no wonder we set aside a special day each year to honor them. So, here’s a heartfelt shout out to all the amazing moms — Happy Mother’s Day! 🌼💐
This year, on May 11, we celebrate not just our mothers, but also those who have lovingly stepped into that role — grandmothers, aunts, mentors, and friends. 👩👧👦👵 And for those whose mothers are no longer with us, I offer this quote that has comforted me over the years:
